MADISON, Wis. -- A Wisconsin Lottery retailer sold a winning $100,000 Powerball ticket for the Wednesday, September 16, 2026, drawing. The lucky ticket was purchased at a BP on 1201 Grand Ave. in Merrill. It successfully matched four white balls (2-21-24-25-64) and the Powerball (7). Thanks to the $1 Power Play feature, the standard $50,000 prize was doubled by a 2X multiplier.

Nobody matched all five numbers and the Powerball last night so the estimated jackpot for Saturday's drawing is $298 million.

According to Powerball.com, there were 13 $50,000 or more Powerball winners across the nation for last night's drawing. In Wisconsin, there were 8,035 winning Powerball tickets sold ranging from $4 to $100,000.

For the Merrill BP, the winning ticket is the largest ever sold by the store.

Wisconsin Lottery retailers who sell winning tickets over $599 receive a two percent Retailer Performance Winning Ticket Incentive, up to $100,000.

Players have 180 days from the draw date to claim their winnings. Information on how to claim a prize is available at wilottery.com. Players can also check to see if their ticket is a winner by using the Lottery's mobile app, available on the App Store or Google Play.

Powerball drawings are Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday at 9:59 p.m. Tickets must be purchased before 9:00 p.m. to be included in a drawing. Powerball tickets are $2 per play.

The odds to win the Powerball jackpot are 1:292,201,338 while the odds to win a $50,000 Powerball prize are 1:913,130. With the $1 Power Play option, the odds of a 2X multiplier being drawn last night were 1:1.75.
