MADISON, Wis. -- Wisconsin Powerball players are enjoying a nice hot streak beyond the summer heat. A winning $50,000 Powerball ticket was sold at Kwik Trip on 6300 S. 27th St. in Oak Creek, for the Monday, July 14 drawing. Counting yesterday's win, during the last two weeks, there have been five big winning Powerball tickets sold in Wisconsin, including three $50,000 winning tickets and two $2,000,000 winning tickets.
Monday's winning ticket matched four of five numbers (8-12-45-46-63) and the Powerball (24).
Last night's Powerball draw resulted in 12 $50,000 Powerball winners across the United States. In Wisconsin, there were 4,627 total Powerball winners ranging from $4 to $50,000. Powerball features nine different prize levels.
Big wins are practically synonymous with the Oak Creek Kwik Trip. In June, the Lottery retailer sold a winning $25,000 scratch ticket and in previous years, the store has sold a winning $45,000 scratch ticket and winning Lotto tickets of $10,000, $91,000, and $146,000.
Wisconsin Lottery retailers who sell winning tickets over $599 receive a two percent Retailer Performance Winning Ticket Incentive, up to $100,000.
Players have 180 days from the draw date to claim their winnings. Information on how to claim a prize is available at wilottery.com. Players can also check to see if their ticket is a winner by using the Lottery's mobile app, available on the App Store or Google Play.
Powerball drawings are Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday at 9:59 p.m. Tickets must be purchased before 9:00 p.m. to be included in a drawing. Powerball tickets are $2 per play, with the option to buy the Power Play feature for an additional $1. The estimated Powerball jackpot for the Wednesday drawing is $264 million.
The odds to win the Powerball jackpot are 1:292,201,338 while the odds to win a $50,000 Powerball prize are 1:913,130.
